ForeConsulting First Kicks

ForeConsulting FirstKicks, a programme for our 4-6 year old players, got underway for the season at Dave Farrington park at 9am on Saturday morning.  Designed as the perfect introduction to football, the programme sees the next generation of talent nurtured through oversight by the club's professionally qualified staff and delivered by fully qualified coaches. Everybody that was there on Saturday had great fun and promised to come back next week!  The programme remains open and registration details are available HERE.

  • Fri 1st February Registration opens (online)
  • Sun 24th February 10am – 1pm Registration Day at clubrooms
  • Fri 1st March Registrations Close
  • 4th – 17th March Junior Trials 9th to 14th Grades (details tbc)
  • Fri 29th March – Mon 1st April Kapiti Easter Tournament (10th-17th grades only. Selected teams)
  • Sat 6th April Start of 2013 First Kicks/Nursery Grade Dave Farrington Park 9-10am
  • 13th – 14th April Start of 2013 Junior Football season
  • 22nd - 25th April April Junior Holiday Programme
  • 27th – 28th April No Junior Football – Middle Week School Holidays

Miramar Rangers Sponsorship 2013

Miramar Rangers Association Football Club is a community focused football club catering to 700 junior and senior members throughout Wellington’s Eastern suburbs and beyond. The club was formed in 1907 and throughout its history has provided a fantastic environment for footballers of all levels. The club has a proud record of developing youth players who have progressed on to play for the club’s senior first team as well as a number who have gone on to represent the national team. Former Rangers who have recently played for the All Whites include Chris Killen, Simon Elliot, Jeremy Brockie and Tim Brown. We know that there will be many more to follow! 

Since its inception, the club has heavily relied on the support of volunteers who are without doubt the heart and soul of the club. The club also relies on the support of local businesses—even more so with the increasing difficulty of obtaining trust funding. Local business support is vital for us to function as a sports club and in doing so provide both juniors and seniors with a vehicle to lead healthy lifestyles.

Pre-Season Training 2013

To all prospective 1st (Central League) 2nd (Premier League) and 3rd (Capital 1) team players wishing to play for Miramar Rangers in 2013 - we can inform you that pre-season training is due to commence on Wednesday 23rd January 2013, 6:30pm start at Miramar Park. Help your club raise funds to replace Clubroom balcony and fire exit stairs by joining the MRAFC English Premier League Football Pools tipping competition - the EPL kicks off Sunday 19th August so don't delay and sign up now!!!

Join the fun for only $50. Payment can be made directly into Miramar Rangers AFC bank account : 02-0500-0224537-00. Please reference “footytips” and your “footytips username” when making payment

  1. Go to “Footytips.com.au”   Click on COMPS
  2. In the “Find a Comp” box type in MRAFC EPL FOOTBALL POOLS
  3. When  this comes up click on it.   In the “Password” box type in rangers
  4. Click on “Join now”   Click on “join”
  5. Fill out “Login Details”   At conclusion click on “Join Competition”

 

Only those that have paid in full will be allowed to play in the competition

Prize is stated as 65/35 split with club.

Example :-

200 players x $50 = $10,000   Therefore if 200 players prize pool is $6,500

Broken down as...

1st          45%        ($2,925)

2nd          20%        ($1,300)               

3rd           15%        ($975)

4th           10%        ($650)

5th           5%          ($325)

7 prizes of your money back     ($350)            TOTAL PRIZES $6,525)

Runs from August 18th 2012 to end of season May 2013. All done via internet or mobile phone.

Each match, player picks 1 for home win, 2 for away win, x for draw. If player forgets to pick, then automatically gets the away team to win.

One point for every correct pick. Points accumulate each week. Bonus 3 points if all picks for that weeks games are correct.

One joker round where weekly points are doubled. Joker can be played once only at any time.

The most points accumulated at the end of the season is the winner.
